Kaneka — A Global Brand Portal for a $5B Materials Corporation
Challenge
Kaneka Corporation: a $5 billion Japanese advanced materials company operating across polymers, pharmaceuticals, food supplements, and electronics. And Had a brand consistency problem. Twelve regional teams across the Americas were creating materials independently, resulting in fragmented brand expression and duplicated effort.
Approach
We designed and built a centralized brand portal that served as the single source of truth for Kaneka's Americas operations. Templated assets, guidelines, and a digital asset management system that made it easier to stay on-brand than to go off-brand.
Results
Brand consistency scores jumped to 90% across all regional teams. Time-to-market for localized materials dropped 40% as teams stopped reinventing assets from scratch. The portal became a model that Kaneka's global headquarters adopted for other regions.
