DTLA Design Week — Designing & Producing a Downtown LA Creative Event
Challenge
Downtown Los Angeles needed a design event that reflected the creative energy of its arts district. As lead designer and producer, the challenge was creating both a compelling brand identity and a functional event website that could inform the public about participating artists, designers, and the full calendar of events. All while organizing a team of fellow creatives to bring it to life.
Approach
We developed a bold visual identity rooted in DTLA's industrial-meets-creative character, then designed the event website in Adobe XD with a focus on showcasing participating artists and making event discovery intuitive. The site featured photography-driven layouts, an interactive event calendar, and artist profiles. And All designed to capture the raw, authentic energy of the downtown creative scene.
Results
DTLA Design Week successfully drew over 500 attendees across its programming, featuring 20+ participating artists and designers. The website became the central hub for event discovery, and the brand identity established a visual language that positioned the event as a fixture in LA's creative calendar.
